The site has good depth of information in its database and is a great source of up-to-date news on the latest health-related issues and trends. Information is organized by slideshows, sponsored information, and the categories of diseases & conditions, symptoms & signs, procedures & tests, medications, health & living, news & views, and a ‘medterms dictionary’. The site contains numerous articles within each of its categories, as well as a variety of multi-media tools. The ‘ask the experts’ feature is also quite helpful, and gives additional perspectives on a number of issues. It has suggested readings and numerous links, which take you to other related areas within the site. Overall, Medicinenet.com is an active and well-populated site from which anyone looking for current health and wellness information and the latest news on health issues will benefit.
The site is fairly user friendly, as it lists information alphabetically by category, such as diseases & conditions, symptoms & signs, and procedures & tests, amongst others.
